CareLift Equipment has been designing and building quality rough terrain forklifts since 1962. Each day the company strives to help all their customers reach their objectives and deliver value as they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.
There are 2 general kinds of boom lifts. These units are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Often, these models are powered hydraulically. Most commonly straight booms are the great option for tasks which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine is capable of rotating three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom is able to be raised vertically to below horizontal. Since the operator could maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is completely extended, it is a versatile machinery. These units come in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, as well as propane, gas or diesel configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are utilized for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise unaccessible. These lift models perform tasks that straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are almost like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily in the work site.
To be able to maintain stability while the boom lift is completely extended, some heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Correct training is necessary prior to using boom lifts in order to guarantee the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable tasks that used to require many more man power to be completed in a much shorter time period. These machines have changed the material handling business and have really increased production.
