Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy
The Bi-Energy and Genie DC equipment manufactured by Terex provide quiet and emission-free operation in the most sensitive work applications. Like for example, in industrial situations where the machine has to travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the benefits and flexibility of a diesel powered generator with a 48 Volt DC machine.
Several of the key characteristics offered by this combination include up, over and out positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. Moreover, the zero tail-swing provided by most models, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
The proportional and drive controls provide the machine with precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. For quiet and emission free operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an extra working range for particular jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is great for industrial applications and outdoor construction applications. This particular model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine up, out and over positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach offered by this particular type is the best in the market.
The diesel engines with articulating booms provide zero tail-swing on the majority of models and have a tight turning radius. These machines are ideal for maneuvering in confined locations. Additionally, they offer excellent torque, terrain and grade maneuverability and utmost power. The diesel engines are quiet overall as well. Nearly all models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to offer great flexibility on surfaces which are uneven and rough.
High ground clearance is provided in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom kinds are available and provide extra range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to ninety degrees on these models as well.
