Training

Forklift training is usually completed on the job. Training would normally cover safety and control training, that can be completed in a variety of ways. These can include testing, videos and lectures. A performance test would also be done on the lift truck. When the tests have been done successfully, a license can be issued. This license must be renewed based on provincial and state laws and according to shop procedures. If you get the chance to complete your lift truck training on the job, it is a great idea and it is another skill you can add to your resume.
